Originally from Grenoble where he trained from an early age with Cathy Cambet in "L`Album Cie", Joan then joined the CNSMD of Lyon. He graduated in 2012, then joined the company Didier Theron with which he participated in his main projects for six years. At the same time, he participated in role resumptions with Gaetano Battezzato, Delphine Pouilly, Davy Brun and the Collectif ÈS. He takes part in the Mother Tongue project initiated by Edmond Russo and Shlomi Tuizer as part of "Marseille Provence 2013".
In 2014, he participated in two creations for the Greek choreographer Andonis Foniadakis, then he began a collaboration with the choreographer Nans Martin within the company "Les Laboratoires Anime". In 2016, he was invited by the baroque music ensemble "Les Surprises" to choreograph a solo for an opera, Les Elements , directed by Edouard Signolet. The same year, within a project entitled Passion(s)  initiated by Florence Girardon and Maguy Marin as part of "Montpellier Danse", he met Cecile Laloy. This meeting will lead to a first creation, DUO in 2017 then a second, IE, Family expected for the "Biennale de la danse de Lyon" in 2020.
